Today is International Overdose Awareness Day.
Today, we remember the people whose lives have been lost to overdose and drug poisoning, and hold close the families, friends and communities who carry those losses with them.
We also stand with people in recovery, frontline workers, and everyone working to reduce harm and keep people safe.
Overdose does not discriminate. Behind every loss is a person — someone loved, someone remembered, someone whose life mattered.
Community members are invited to gather today at Leger Square at North Bay City Hall from 4–7 p.m. for North Bay’s International Overdose Awareness Day event. The gathering will include traditional drumming, guest speakers with lived experience, community resources, Naloxone training, live music, food and more.
💜 Time to remember. Time to act.
Every life matters.
