Help a local student start the school year with confidence.
This year, we're inviting our community to be part of the School Start Project by sponsoring a local child or youth from JK to Grade 12 in the Nipissing and Parry Sound District.
Many of the children we support are being raised by grandparents, aunts, uncles, family friends, or other caring adults who stepped up to keep them connected to the people, schools, and communities they know and love. While these families open their hearts and homes, they often do so with little or no financial support.
When you sponsor a backpack, you'll receive a personalized school supply wishlist (with names and schools removed for privacy), giving you the opportunity to shop directly for one local student.
It could be your neighbour. A teammate. A student in your child's classroom.
Together, we can help ensure every child heads back to school with the supplies they need to learn, belong, and thrive.
