To promote the interests of its diverse members and encourage civic engagement through network building and public debate of Latin American issues.

6. To create awareness of the issues taking place in Latin America and create a channel through which the Capilano community can support the cause.

7. To assist incoming international students or students in exchange with the adaptation process in Vancouver and at Capilano. The Association of Latin American Students is an entity designed to unite students, strengthen friendship ties among members and generate a space for cultural exchange at Capilano University. The club is structured under the bases of trust, honesty, respect, and tolerance for each other. THE CLUB IS NOT LIMITED TO LATIN AMERICAN STUDENTS, ANY PERSON INTERESTED IN HAVING A GOOD TIME, NETWORKING AND GETTING TO KNOW A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THIS REGION OF THE WORLD IS WELCOME TO JOIN.
