honours the importance of Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

This date marks a step in an individual and collective learning journey. Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation provide opportunities to reflect on where we have been, what we continue to learn, and the responsibilities we carry forward. Reconciliation asks us to consider how we contribute to a different future; one grounded in respect, relationship, dignity, and the recognition of Indigenous peoples, cultures, knowledge, and traditions.

To learn more about the history and significance of this day, please visit the NVSD's Indigenous Education website: https://indigenous.sd44.ca/resources/truth-and-reconciliation/orange-shirt-day/
