Could we build something like this on the North Shore?

Over the weekend, members of The Hollyburn Society team had the opportunity to visit Storeys in Richmond — an incredible example of what can happen when organizations come together around a shared vision.

Storeys brings affordable housing and community services together under one roof, made possible through a unique partnership between Tikva Housing Society, , , S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and .

Five organizations. Shared space. Shared resources. A shared commitment to creating better outcomes for people in the community.

It got us thinking: Could a project like this come together on the North Shore?

An empty chair. A life remembered. A community that cares. đź’ś

The Hollyburn Society is proud to take part in the North Shore Purple Chair Campaign.

Each purple chair honours someone lost to the toxic drug crisis and reminds us that behind every number is a person—a family member, friend, neighbour, and someone deeply loved.

Today, we remember those who are no longer with us, stand alongside everyone carrying the weight of that loss, and reaffirm our commitment to meeting substance use with compassion—not judgment.

Because every life matters. Every story deserves to be remembered. And no one should have to find their way forward alone.

Last chance to make every month count twice.

Tomorrow is the final day to have your monthly gift matched for an entire year.

When you become a monthly donor before midnight on Monday, every monthly donation you make for the next 12 months will be matched by an anonymous donor.

That means your support will help twice as many North Shore neighbours find safety, stability, and a way forward.

If you've been thinking about joining our community of monthly donors, now is the time.

Every month matters.
Every gift matters.
Every person matters.

Donate before it’s too late - https://hollyburnsociety.ca/monthly-match/

Walk for the people who taught us the important things.

How to cook without measuring.
How to stretch a dollar.
How to parallel park.
How to find out everything happening on the street without leaving the front window.
