Our networking event yesterday was a great success, and we’re so grateful to have partnered with Invest Milton and Futurpreneur Canada to make it happen. The energy in the room was incredible, seeing all the conversations, connections, and collaboration taking place was truly the highlight of the evening. We’ve received wonderful feedback and loved the level of networking and chatter throughout the room. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a positive and engaging experience!

That’s a wrap on another successful cohort!
We concluded the program on May 7, celebrating with incredible treats from participant Sarah Obiageli Mbakw, Sweetpalms Bakery (Milton)—a perfect way to mark the occasion.
Our team is now in the process of reviewing business plans from this incredible group of entrepreneurs. We look forward to announcing the recipients of the $5,000 grant after June 10.
Best of luck to all participants—your hard work, creativity, and dedication have truly stood out. It has been a pleasure supporting your journey.

We had two fantastic guest speakers who shared insights every entrepreneur needs: ✅ Rosana Fernandez of The FlipSide Plan spoke about building systems that support mental health and brain strength, reminding us that time is your biggest asset. ✅ James Carson from Carson Law Office Professional Corporation covered key legal considerations for new businesses and encouraged participants to think ahead—build today for where you want to be in 5 years.

Yesterday, our Halton Small Business Consultant, Isis Jimenez, led a financials session through the Halton program. Participants strengthened their understanding of bookkeeping, income taxes & HST, and financial statements—essential knowledge for running a successful business.
