🎉 Celebrate 25 Years of the Iroquois Ridge Older Adult Centre!

Join us on Tuesday, September 8, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. as we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Iroquois Ridge Older Adult Centre!

This FREE event will feature:

🎤 Light speeches

📸 Reminiscing and memories shared in our Memory Room

Thanks to the over 125 members who attended the Peachy Keen Social Scene event at Colborne Senior Centre. The Fiddlestix headlined a fabulous day with sweet peaches, cream and pound cake with plenty of shade in the beautiful park, and a dance floor that stayed busy despite the heat. Great music, lots of laughs, and a whole lot of fun made for a perfect summer afternoon!

What a fantastic start to BBQ season at the Sir John Colborne Recreation Centre! 🌞🍔
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our first BBQ of the season. The weather was absolutely perfect, making for a wonderful day filled with great food, great company, and plenty of smiles. A special thank you goes out to our amazing volunteers—your hard work, and support helped make the event a success. We couldn't have done it without you!
We're already looking forward to the next one! 🎉☀️🌭

🍑 Peachy Keen Social with the Fiddlestix 🍑
Enjoy an afternoon of live music, delicious peach dessert, and refreshments at the Sir John Colborne Recreation Centre for Seniors!

📅 Tuesday, August 11
🕐 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
📍 Sir John Colborne Recreation Centre for Seniors

Enjoy delicious Ontario peaches, homemade shortcake, fresh whipped cream, and refreshing iced tea while listening to the wonderful melodies of the Fiddlestix on the beautiful shady grounds of the Centre.
Don't forget to bring:
✅ Sunscreen
✅ A lawn chair

Cost: $15 per person
Tickets can be purchased at the Sir John Colborne Recreation Centre for Seniors front desk.

1️⃣ What do you enjoy about working in our Seniors Centres?
✅ Our community, the people are so wonderful and welcoming

2️⃣ What is your main hobby outside of work?
✅ Reading, fitness, and spending time with my family and fur babies 🐕

3️⃣ What is your favourite program and/or event hosted by the Seniors Centres?
✅ There are so many it is hard to narrow down, we have so many amazing programs! But Francis’ Watercolour Class, George’s Seminars and Drop in Crafts with Lina are some of my favourites! I’m looking forward to our Bazaar, Art Show and Christmas Party this year as well

4️⃣ If you could live in any era, which would it be and why?
✅ Back to the 80’s/90’s for the music and style

Wow, what a Seniors Month! From the movie premiere of Silver Screamers to BBQs, Strawberry Socials, and so much more, we’ve been busy celebrating you, our amazing Older Adult community. 💛
We truly appreciate all that you have given and continue to contribute, and we wish you a summer filled with sunny skies, connection, and a whole lot of fun!
