I believe Oxfam is a wonderful organization that provides relief around the world. Some of Oxfam’s goals are to stop inequality and give essential services to people without them. They try to sustain all natural resources and have a sustainable global food system so that people around the world always have food no matter what their social class is. Some other goals are to allow freedom of speech s
o that people in oppressive governments are given a chance for their voice to be heard. Oxfam also fights to give women the rights that they deserve in countries that do not allow it. Aside from these goals Oxfam aims to help people in the wake of natural disasters. They are trying to save lives of people that are stuck or trapped in dangerous areas of Nepal because of the two recent 7 magnitude earthquakes. I believe that Oxfam deserves funding because they cover such a wide range of international health, safety, and human rights issues. Oxfam is a huge organization but as most charity organizations say, every penny or every person counts. If more people support Oxfam, more people will know what Oxfam is what it stands for. If more people know what Oxfam is, Oxfam’s goals will be known and they can be reached much easier.
