National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism is recognized annually on June 23rd to honour and remember those who lost their lives to acts of terrorism in Canada and around the world.

In recognition of this day, flags at Township facilities have been lowered to half-mast.

It was an exciting day on Saturday, June 20th as Mayor Hegadorn, Councillor Willis, and Councillor Proderick were pleased to join representatives from The Back Kitchen to celebrate the grand opening of their beautiful new backyard gazebo.

The new gazebo is a a wonderful spot where patrons can gather, enjoy some delicious food, and soak in the island summer.

This role is an integral part of service delivery to the residents of Loyalist Township. The purpose of this position is to safely operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, collection and distribution systems, and oversee assigned contractors’ activities.

In addition, through these safe practices provide safe drinking water and sanitation for the residents of Loyalist Township.

UPDATE 11:45 AM - Taylor Kidd Boulevard has reopened.

Please be advised that Taylor Kidd Blvd. is currently closed between County Road 6 and Coronation Blvd. due to a motor vehicle accident.

The road is expected to remain closed until noon. An update will be posted once the road has reopened.

🛹🛼🚴‍♀️ Pump Track Progress Update 🚧

Exciting progress at Loyalist Park! The concrete pour is officially underway, and the new pump track is starting to take shape.

Construction began in early May, and crews continue to work toward a targeted completion date of July 30, 2026.

This exciting new amenity will offer a fun, inclusive space for bikes, scooters, skateboards, and more.

Following the completion of construction, an opening event will be planned to celebrate this addition to Loyalist Park.
