The purpose of the closure is for the removal of a tractor trailer. Motorists must follow the detour route along Mud Lake Road/Unity Road until the highway is reopened. ^pia

Loyalist Township is pleased to offer residents a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Event to help residents safely dispose of hazardous materials that should never be placed in household garbage, recycling, or poured down drains.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Brookland Homes Pump Track Grand Opening and our final TuNes Day concert of the summer. It was the perfect way to wrap up another fantastic season!

From face painting and lawn games to energetic live music by Brass Over Tea Kettle and an exciting BMX demonstration that showcased the Pump Track in action, there was something for everyone to enjoy. A special thank you to the Amherstview Lions Club for serving up a delicious free hot dog BBQ that helped bring our community together.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to John and Janice Armitage for their incredible generosity and support in making the Brookland Homes Pump Track project possible. Your investment in our community is creating opportunities for fun, activity, and connection for years to come.

Reporting to the Aquatics Coordinator, the Lifeguard is responsible for providing a safe aquatic environment and delivering quality pool programs, including guarding and carrying out other operational duties as directed.

Starting September 7 transit riders can enjoy increased service frequency on Route 10, with 30-minute service for most of the day, making it easier to get to the W.J. Henderson Community Centre and other destinations between Amherstview and the Cataraqui Centre.

To support cleanup efforts following last weekend's storm, the Amherst Island Landfill will be open for extended hours on August 22nd and 23rd for the disposal of brush and storm debris. Please see the operating hours below.
