Today we're celebrating Canadian Library Workers Day!

Libraries are more than books. They're places of learning, connection, creativity, and community. None of that would be possible without the dedicated library workers who serve our community each day.

Thank you to our wonderful team at OPL for everything you do to make the library a welcoming space for all.

Today is the last day to submit your name suggestions for our new book carts!

How to enter:
1️⃣ Fill out the form on our website. https://okotokslibrary.ca/About-Us/Support-Us2/canadian-library-month2/name-our-new-book-carts
2️⃣ Submit 5 name ideas (one for each book cart). They can be clever titles, book puns, or author-inspired names. One entry per person (so only pick your top 5!)
3️⃣ Check back on October 30th to see the winning names. No prizes, just bragging rights.

This month's Library Spotlight is featuring our Reading Dragons program! We're so excited to bring back our annual reading incentive program for it's third year. 🎉🐲

Whether your young reader loves graphic novels, fantasy, or non-fiction, this program makes reading extra fun!

How to get started:
- Stop by our desk in the children's library to register and pick up your reading tracker.
- Track every time you read for 30 minutes.
- Bring in your tracker any time to collect your dragon cards.

Reading Dragons is for ages 6 - 12. The program runs from September - May.
