VGFN Citizens are invited to attend the 2026 General Election Candidate Forum on Wednesday, August 26 at the Darius Elias Community Hall.

Dinner and refreshments will be available from 5:00–5:30 p.m., with the Candidate Forum running from 5:30–8:00 p.m.

The forum gives candidates an opportunity to share their platforms, and Citizens will have the opportunity to ask candidates questions either in person or through Zoom.

A reminder to VGFN Citizens that the Porcupine River Chinook fishing restrictions remain in effect.

These measures continue under Council Resolution C02026-29 and are in place to support the protection and recovery of Porcupine River łuk choo.

We appreciate everyone continuing to respect the restrictions and helping protect this important resource for future generations.
