Passing the phone to a park that is located above the Arctic Circle and is visited by 500,000 birds and 100,000 caribou each year…

Vuntut National Park was established through the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation Final Agreement. This ensured the protection of the water, plants and animals of the park as well as the traditional and current Gwich’in way of life in the region.

VGFN Citizens and community members are invited to help shape the future of food security in Old Crow.

From June 8–12, community members will have the opportunity to share their experiences, ideas, and priorities around access to healthy, affordable, and culturally important foods.

Input gathered through these sessions will help inform the Food Security Strategy, future programs and supports, and community-led solutions grounded in Vuntut Gwitchin values.

Honorarium, meals, and refreshments will be provided.
