Busy days up here in Old Crow!

Family’s been in and out for summer, there was some excitement at camp with a black bear, and a fun surprise dropped off for Luna.

The CWF was here for a week-long camp and wrapped it up with a great show - the hall was packed!

One of the best parts of my job is getting to share in the everyday moments that make our community what it is ♥️

Take Care Tuesday! 🌞 Each week we will be sharing some helpful information to support you to take care and be well.

This week we are sharing information about where you can access harm reduction supplies and services. Harm reduction helps keep you and your community safe by reducing the spread of HIV and hepatitis, preventing and reducing harm from opioid poisonings, and helping everyone to keep safe and healthy!

Didn’t get a chance to submit something for the My Big Bougie Beaded Earrings exhibit? ✨ Your work can still be featured in the pop-up retail!

Alongside My Big Bougie Beaded Earrings, we are bringing back the retail portion of the show, where your earrings can be featured during the exhibition in the special pop-up 💎 This opportunity is open to any interested YFN and Indigenous artists in Yukon to participate.

Did you know last year’s My Big Bougie opening helped kick off our entire retail platform? We had people coming in wearing their own big bougie earrings and leaving with brand new sets on! It ended up being one of our highest-selling events of the year, and the incredible demand for big bougie earrings helped us grow and expand our retail space.

This is a great chance to share your work, get your name out there, and be part of the bougiest show of the year — no pressure, just slay ✨

Deadline to drop off: Friday, May 29th.

Big news for families in Old Crow!

VGFN Education Department is pleased to share that the Tr’inìn Tsul Zheh Day Home is reopening on June 15, 2026.

Families interested in registering can contact Rony at [email protected] and a registration form will be shared with you to complete.

We’re excited to see this important space reopen for children and families in the community.
