On September 1, 2026, Olds College will light the Water Tower in yellow in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Throughout September, we join communities across Canada in raising awareness, supporting children facing cancer and their families, and advocating for continued progress in research, treatment and care.

By illuminating our Water Tower, we stand in solidarity with those affected and help ensure that children and families in our community — and beyond — feel seen, supported and not alone.

Join Canada’s Smart Agriculture College as a Technician on the Olds College Smart Farm, where hands-on agriculture meets data-driven innovation. In this role, you’ll support day-to-day livestock and crop operations, operate precision ag equipment and contribute to applied research that’s shaping the future of food production.

What you’ll do:
💠Provide daily animal care, health monitoring and record-keeping for sheep and beef operations
💠Operate and maintain farm equipment, including tractors, sprayers, combines and GPS-enabled precision ag technology
💠Coordinate cropping inputs, harvest and storage with the Smart Farm team and contractors
💠Support student labs, applied research projects and industry partnerships through reliable, safety-first operations
