As we near the end of the year, Miss St Dennis's class is excited to share their “How To” Projects! This is a celebration of students’ learning, creativity, and growth!

This project shows students that there is science in EVERYTHING ✨. Each student became an “expert” in a topic of their choice and used the scientific method to explore and explain how to do it.

Students included a purpose, research, hypothesis, materials, step-by-step procedure, and conclusion. Topics range from how to make lemonade 🍋, bake cookies 🍪, draw or build something creative 🎨, and so much more!

Students designed poster boards to share their learning and presented to the class, taking on the role of the teacher. They guided their classmates through their process, and even included hands-on activities where everyone gets to join in!

This project highlights student voice and choice while building confidence, communication skills, and a strong understanding of scientific thinking!

This past Wednesday marked our annual Sports Day! It's a time honored tradition and one our staff and students look forward to every year!
We had so many different stations and activities for the kids to enjoy, everything from face painting, loom bracelet making, basketball, golf, tug of war, curling, and bubbles (just to name a few).
Thankfully the weather cooperated, making it a huge success once again! Special thanks to all our amazing staff and volunteers for putting this together, we couldn't do it without you!

Today was our traditional Grad walk! Each year the graduating class takes a trip down memory lane, visiting all the Olds schools to say hi and reminisce. One of their very favorite memories is always "Mission Impossible" in the gym. If you have ever been to grad, you will most certainly hear it being mentioned!
