Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dufferin District We enable life-changing mentoring relationships to ignite the power and potential of young people. In 1977 the local Big Sisters Agency was started.

Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Dufferin & District has been creating friendships since 1972. The first local Big Brothers Agency was started that year together by Bill Bissell and Bill Parke. The two agencies were merged in 1996. The agencies started out matching Big Brothers with Little Brothers and Big Sisters with Little Sisters but have grown to include a variety of different programs including the In-School Mentoring program, Go Girls! Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds program, and Joining Paths. We serve children and families throughout Dufferin County and adjacent areas, including Orangeville, Shelburne, Grand Valley, Alton and Erin.

A Little guidance. A Little showing up. A Little listening without judgment. 💛

That’s what a Big Brother or Big Sister does and over time, those Little moments turn into Big memorable moments for young people across Canada.
This September is Big Brothers Big Sisters Month, and your chance to learn more about how mentorship is making life Bigger for youth close to home and across the nation, and how you can be part of it. 🤝 www.bigbrothersbigsisters.ca/dufferin

To make it more accessible for everyone we have moved our Book & DVD Sale to 1 Elizabeth St Medical Centre, and we've added more of both. Check it out and drop off any donations to Lord Dufferin Centre. All monies raised stay in Orangeville and go to local charities. Sale is happening now and will run until late fall.

What fuels nonprofits? Community, coffee, and chocolate! 😊

One of the perks of being office neighbours is sharing breaks with people who share the same big heart for Dufferin County.💙
