Alzheimer Society of Dufferin County The Alzheimer Society of Dufferin County is a community based non-profit charitable organization. At present, there is no cure and no known cause.

Alzheimer Disease is a degenerative, progressive disease that affects the brain. Alzheimer Disease and related disorders affect 1 in 13 Canadians over the age of 65, and an increasing number of individuals under 65. This disease affects over 700 families in Dufferin County.

Dementia is more than memory loss and a diagnosis is only one part of a person’s story. 💙

Behind every diagnosis is a person with a lifetime of memories, relationships, experiences and so much still to give.

Knowing the signs, seeking support early and continuing to create opportunities for connection can make a meaningful difference for people living with dementia and those who care for them.

As World Alzheimer’s Month comes to an end, our work doesn’t.

We will continue to educate, advocate, support and remind our community that no one should have to navigate dementia alone.

We are incredibly grateful to Hereward Farms for choosing the Alzheimer Society of Dufferin County as one of the organizations to receive a portion of the proceeds from their 2026 field tickets.
