Rose of Durham We provide over 15 free programs and services to over 400 young parents and their children every year

We provide over 15 free programs and services to over 400 young parents and their children every year. Including but not limited to: supportive counselling for mothers and fathers, a school program, prenatal classes, parenting education and support groups, social programs, and a co-parenting group. Our clients often represent the poorest of the poor in the community, and often present with additio

nal risk factors such as housing security, food security, lower levels of education, unemployment, history of abuse, isolation, and low self-esteem. The Rose of Durham works with young parents in Durham Region by providing supportive programming to allow them to build a better future for themselves and their children. The Baby Bottle Boomerang is an annual fundraiser to help us do just that. Offering client driven programs, helping to teach advanced leadership, advocacy and commitment to young parents in the community, The Rose is run strictly on donations and is partnered with Catholic Family Services.
