We honour the children who never came home from residential schools, as well as the Survivors, families and communities who continue to carry this history.

Behind the scenes of this morning's outage ⚡

Early this morning, a vehicle left the road and struck one of our hydro poles in the Simcoe St. and Connaught St. area. Thankfully, the driver was not injured.

The collision cut power to about 600 homes in the area. Our crews quickly isolated the damaged section of the grid as our Control Room rerouted power, restoring service to affected customers in under two hours.

With the lights back on, our team spent the day replacing the broken pole and reconnecting the lines. Once the work is complete, we'll re-energize that section and return the grid to its normal setup.

Thank you to our crews for their fast, safe work, and to our customers for their patience!

Back-to-school season is here! 🎒

Our team recently joined Durham Community Health Centre’s Cram-a-Backpack event, bringing one of our trucks and some of our equipment out for families to explore.

It gave us a chance to connect face to face with the people we power, answer questions about what our crews do and introduce the next generation to the work that keeps our community running.

These events are an opportunity to spark curiosity about careers in the electricity sector and showcase the many paths available in our industry.
