New Life Neighbourhood Centre The New Life Neighbourhood Centre is a non-profit organization that serves 2400-3000 underprivileged and homeless people in Oshawa and surrounding areas.

The Centre is not only concerned about the physical needs of our clientele, but also in assisting them to fulfill basic needs and acquire skills to provide a means of overcoming their dependence with practical education programs. As a food bank, we volunteer our time and rely on donations to help us run the programs we provide. Some of the services we currently provide are: Pancake breakfast the t

We are so grateful to the Grade 8 class at College Park Elementary School for their donation of care bags to help those in need in our community. The kids worked tirelessly to fill 48 bags with blankets, water, and snacks. This is such a blessing to all those struggling in our neighbourhood. A full circle moment.

We wrapped up our 2025–2026 Healthy Happy Adults Project (HHAP) season with a community drumming circle, shared meals, and deep gratitude.

Through HHAP, we fostered social connection, intergenerational exchange, and meaningful community engagement — addressing isolation while celebrating the unique and valuable contributions of older adults.
Participants were empowered through interactive activities and educational workshops, including sessions that built awareness and resilience against financial fraud and other forms of elder abuse.

We are deeply grateful to our community partners who made this work possible, and to Employment and Social Development Canada for their financial support, which allowed us to continue and expand this program.

Their amazing donation of diapers and their support of two families in need by providing all the essential items to help them celebrate the holidays. It truly made a difference. Hello everyone,

As we begin the New Year, I want to take this time to once again express my gratitude for your time, hard work, monetary donations, dedication and support throughout 2025 and especially during our Community Christmas Hamper distribution.

Your selfless contributions have helped to make such a huge difference in the lives of those we serve in the community. It is truly a blessing to have committed individuals like you serving with us.
In 2025 we fed approximately 6000 people with our mealbox program, served 960 brunch meals, distributed 3,696 weekend meals/snacks to school children through the Optimist Club, served 400 Christmas turkey meals, distributed 120 Turkey & Chicken hampers, distributed 200 christmas toys and 200 christmas stocking, At the Productivity HUB we graduated 11 individuals bringing the number of lives impacted by the HUB to approximately 100.

Thank you for all that you do! You are truly appreciated and I pray that your New Year will be one of good health, happiness, love and continued service to those in need.

We are so thankful to the Whitby Wolves U13A hockey team for dedicating their time and effort to help keep individuals and families warm this holiday season. These girls used their organization skills and creativity to put together beautiful bundles filled with hats, mitts, and scarves. All thoughtfully made with others in mind.
