A public hearing is being held with respect to proposed bylaw amendments which address various issues identified through day-to-day use of the bylaws.

OCP Amendment Bylaw No. 1375.11, 2026 proposes updates to Riparian Development Permit exemption criteria and corrections to several OCP maps to reflect previous Council-approved amendments.

Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1395.12, 2026 proposes adding alcohol production facilities as a permitted use in the General Industrial (I1) Zone, correcting a parking table typo, and updating site-specific regulations for 4601 97th Street to permit a duplex dwelling and clarify secondary suite provisions within duplex and townhouse units.

New Youth Pickleball Camp This Summer!

Learn one of the fastest-growing sports in North America at this week-long camp at the Sonora Community Centre.

Dates: July 20–24
Ages 8–10: 1:30–2:30 pm
Ages 11–12: 2:45–3:45 pm
Cost: $45 per person

Equipment will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own paddle.

Registration is now open online or in person at the Sonora Community Centre.

The Town of Osoyoos is seeking a Chief Wastewater Operator to join our Utilities team.

Reporting to the Utilities Supervisor, this position is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, repair, and optimization of the Town’s wastewater treatment plant, lift stations, and collection system. The role also supports water and stormwater operations, mentors staff, coordinates maintenance programs, and helps ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

📍 Full-time, Unionized Position
💲 $46.82/hour plus a comprehensive benefits package

Dust control application will be taking place in the following areas, today June 5, 2026:

• Osoyoos & District Sanitary Landfill
• Alley between 89th Street and 87th Street
• Alley between Maple Street and Tamarack Drive
• Entrance to the West Bench Ball Fields
• Alley below Osoyoos Elementary School
