From Black Tie to Purple Tie 💜

Some traditions are worth breaking the rules for.

The Purple Tie Gala is more than a night of dressing up — it’s a celebration of the boldness, resilience, and spirit of the women at Cornerstone.

Inspired by Jenny Joseph’s Warning and the iconic line, “When I am an old woman I shall wear purple,” the Purple Tie Gala is all about showing up boldly, celebrating unapologetically, and making a difference together.

What began as a tradition started by Jessie-Lee Wallace has grown into one of Cornerstone’s most impactful fundraising events — helping create safer, brighter futures for women experiencing homelessness.

Every day Cornerstone provides emergency shelter and supportive housing to more than 330 women and gender-diverse people. We have an updated wish list of items we hope you can share with your community to support women in our programs.

We are incredibly grateful to anyone who is able to donate one of the items on our wish list. 🌟💜

We are currently in need of:
-bath towels
-new underwear
-deodorant
-toiletries
-small freezer
-art supplies

This week, our amazing facilities team rolled up their sleeves for some front-yard cleanup at our Booth location! 🌿✨

Meanwhile, residents at Princeton are putting their green thumbs to work with a beautiful garden full of delicious homegrown vegetables. 🍅🥬🌱

We love seeing our communities come together to create welcoming spaces and grow something special! 💚
