ZAMBIA’S 62ND INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY
“Zambia @ 62: Our Journey, Our Growth, Our Future”

The High Commission of the Republic of Zambia in Ottawa wishes to inform the Zambian community across Canada that, owing to circumstances beyond its control, the Mission will not host an Anniversary reception this year.

To honour this important occasion, the Zambian National Flag will be raised and flown at full mast at Ottawa City Hall on 24 October 2026.

We encourage fellow Zambians to support and participate in Independence Day celebrations organised by diaspora associations and community groups in their respective regions. Let us celebrate our heritage, strengthen our community ties, and reaffirm our commitment to peace, unity, and national development.

Happy 62nd Independence Anniversary!
One Zambia, One Nation. 🇿🇲
