เมื่อวันที่ 10 สิงหาคม 2569 นายดามพ์ บุญธรรม เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออตตาวา และภริยา รวมทั้งข้าราชการสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออตตาวา ได้เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรองเนื่องในโอกาสวันอาเซียน ประจำปี 2569 เพื่อเฉลิมฉลองวาระครบรอบ 59 ปีแห่งการก่อตั้งอาเซียน ณ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตอินโดนีเซียประจำแคนาดา ซึ่งสถานเอกอัครราชทูตประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนทั้ง 7 ประเทศในกรุงออตตาวาร่วมกันเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดงานภายใต้กรอบคณะกรรมการอาเซียนประจำกรุงออตตาวา (ASEAN Committee in Ottawa: ACO)
งานเลี้ยงรับรองในครั้งนี้ นางอานิตา อานันด์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศแคนาดา ได้ให้เกียรติเข้าร่วมในฐานะแขกเกียรติยศของงาน และมีคณะทูตานุทูตประจำแคนาดา ตลอดจนนักการเมือง ข้าราชการระดับสูง นักธุรกิจ นักวิชาการ และผู้นำชุมชนในแคนาดาเข้าร่วมงานจำนวนมาก
ทั้งนี้ งานวันอาเซียนประจำกรุงออตตาวาจัดขึ้นเป็นประจำทุกปีเพื่อรำลึกถึงการก่อตั้งอาเซียนตามปฏิญญากรุงเทพเมื่อปี 2510 และสะท้อนความมุ่งมั่นของ ASEAN ในการส่งเสริมสันติภาพ เสถียรภาพ และความร่วมมือ เพื่อความเจริญรุ่งเรืองของภูมิภาคอย่างยั่งยืน รวมทั้งเพื่อส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์และร่วมมืออันดีในทุกด้านระหว่าง ASEAN กับแคนาดา
On 10 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Darm Boontham, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Canada, and his spouse, together with officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in Ottawa, attended a reception marking ASEAN Day 2026 and commemorating the 59th anniversary of the founding of ASEAN at the Embassy of Indonesia in Canada. The event was jointly hosted by the seven ASEAN Member States‘ diplomatic mission in Ottawa under the framework of the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO).
The reception was honoured by the presence of the Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, as the Guest of Honour. The reception was also attended by members of the diplomatic corps in Canada, as well as a large number of Canadian politicians, senior government officials, business leaders, academics, and community leaders.
The ASEAN Day reception in Ottawa is held annually to commemorate the founding of ASEAN under the Bangkok Declaration in 1967 and to reaffirm ASEAN’s commitment to promoting peace, stability, and cooperation for the sustainable prosperity of the region, as well as to fostering strong relations and cooperation in all areas between ASEAN and Canada.
Le 10 août 2026, S.E. M. Darm Boontham, Ambassadeur du Royaume de Thaïlande au Canada, et son épouse, accompagnés de représentants de l’Ambassade royale de Thaïlande à Ottawa, ont participé à une réception à l’occasion de la Journée de l’ASEAN 2026 et de la commémoration du 59ᵉ anniversaire de la fondation de l’ASEAN, organisée à l’Ambassade d’Indonésie au Canada.
L’événement était organisé conjointement par les missions diplomatiques des sept États membres de l’ASEAN à Ottawa, dans le cadre du Comité de l’ASEAN à Ottawa (ACO).
La réception a eu l’honneur d’accueillir l’honorable Anita Anand, ministre des Affaires étrangères du Canada, en qualité d’invitée d’honneur. Étaient également présents des membres du corps diplomatique au Canada, ainsi qu’un grand nombre de parlementaires canadiens, de hauts responsables gouvernementaux, de dirigeants d’entreprises, d’universitaires et de représentants de différentes communautés.
La réception de la Journée de l’ASEAN à Ottawa est organisée chaque année afin de commémorer la fondation de l’ASEAN, établie par la Déclaration de Bangkok en 1967, et de réaffirmer l’engagement de l’organisation à promouvoir la paix, la stabilité et la coopération en faveur d’une prospérité durable dans la région. Elle vise également à renforcer les relations et la coopération dans tous les domaines entre l’ASEAN et le Canada.
