เมื่อวันที่ 15 ตุลาคม 2569 นายดามพ์ บุญธรรม เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออตตาวา พร้อมด้วยภริยา ได้เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิดการแข่งขัน The Canadian Thai & Eastern Massage Championship 2026 ณ Salle de réception Sofia เมืองมอนทรีออล รัฐควิเบก จัดโดย Nuad Thai & Spa Association of Canada โดยมีนางสาวอรชร มีชัย ประธานสมาคมฯ ดร. ธีรวัฒน์ วงศ์วรทัต ประธาน World Wellness and Nuad Thai Federation พร้อมด้วยผู้ประกอบการ ผู้เข้าแข่งขันจากแคนาดาและต่างประเทศ และผู้สนใจเข้าร่วมงาน

เอกอัครราชทูตฯ กล่าวชื่นชมผู้จัดงานที่ร่วมสืบสานและเผยแพร่การนวดไทย ซึ่งเป็นภูมิปัญญาอันทรงคุณค่าที่ได้รับการขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมที่จับต้องไม่ได้ของมนุษยชาติโดยองค์การ UNESCO เมื่อปี 2562 พร้อมเน้นย้ำบทบาทของผู้ประกอบวิชาชีพนวดไทยในฐานะ “ทูตวัฒนธรรม” ที่ถ่ายทอดคุณค่าความเป็นไทยและเสริมสร้างมิตรภาพระหว่างประชาชนในโอกาสครบรอบ 65 ปี ความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย–แคนาดา

ภายในงานมีการแข่งขันนวดไทยแบบดั้งเดิมและแบบประยุกต์ การนวดตะวันออกและตะวันตก การนวดเพื่อการกีฬา และการนวดเพื่อสุขภาพและการผ่อนคลาย รวมทั้งการจัดแสดงสินค้าเกี่ยวกับการนวดจากผู้ประกอบการไทยและต่างชาติ การนำเสนอผ้าไทยและการเดินแบบชุดไทย เพื่อเผยแพร่เอกลักษณ์ของเครื่องแต่งกายไทยและสนับสนุนการเสนอขึ้นทะเบียน “ชุดไทย” (Chud Thai) เป็นมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมที่จับต้องไม่ได้ของมนุษยชาติต่อองค์การ UNESCO

การแข่งขันดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเป็นครั้งที่ 3 นับตั้งแต่ปี 2566 โดยมุ่งเผยแพร่ภูมิปัญญาการนวดไทยในระดับนานาชาติ ส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ พัฒนาทักษะและมาตรฐานวิชาชีพ ตลอดจนสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือระหว่างผู้ประกอบการและผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากประเทศต่าง ๆ

On 15 October 2026, H.E. Mr. Darm Boontham, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Canada, and his spouse, presided over the opening ceremony of the Canadian Thai & Eastern Massage Championship 2026 at Salle de réception Sofia in Montreal, Quebec. Organised by the Nuad Thai & Spa Association of Canada, the event was attended by Ms. Orachon Meechai, President of the Association; Dr. Theerawat Wongworathat, President of the World Wellness and Nuad Thai Federation; business operators; contestants from Canada and abroad; and members of the public.

The Ambassador commended the organisers for their efforts to preserve and promote Nuad Thai, a treasured traditional knowledge inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2019. The Ambassador also highlighted the role of Thai massage practitioners as “cultural ambassadors” who convey the values of Thai culture and strengthen people-to-people friendship as Thailand and Canada celebrate the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

The event featured competitions in traditional and contemporary Thai massage, Eastern and Western massage, sports massage, and massage for wellness and relaxation. Other highlights included displays of massage-related products by Thai and international businesses, a showcase of Thai textiles, and a Thai costume fashion show to promote the distinctive character of Thai attire and support the nomination of “Chud Thai” for inscription on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Held for the third time since 2023, the championship aims to promote Thai massage knowledge internationally, encourage knowledge exchange, enhance professional skills and standards, and foster networks of cooperation among business operators and experts from different countries.

Le 15 octobre 2026, S. E. M. Darm Boontham, ambassadeur du Royaume de Thaïlande au Canada, et son épouse ont présidé la cérémonie d’ouverture du Canadian Thai & Eastern Massage Championship 2026 à la Salle de réception Sofia, à Montréal, au Québec. Organisé par la Nuad Thai & Spa Association of Canada, l’événement a réuni Mme Orachon Meechai, présidente de l’Association, le Dr Theerawat Wongworathat, président de la World Wellness and Nuad Thai Federation, ainsi que des entrepreneurs, des participants du Canada et de l’étranger et des membres du public.

L’Ambassadeur a salué les efforts des organisateurs visant à préserver et à promouvoir le Nuad Thai, un précieux savoir traditionnel inscrit en 2019 sur la Liste représentative du patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’humanité de l’UNESCO. Il a également souligné le rôle des praticiens du massage thaïlandais en tant qu’ "ambassadeurs culturels", qui transmettent les valeurs de la culture thaïlandaise et renforcent les liens d’amitié entre les peuples, alors que la Thaïlande et le Canada célèbrent le 65e anniversaire de leurs relations diplomatiques.

L’événement comprenait des compétitions de massage thaïlandais traditionnel et contemporain, de massage oriental et occidental, de massage sportif, ainsi que de massage de bien-être et de relaxation. Parmi les autres temps forts figuraient une exposition de produits liés au massage proposés par des entreprises thaïlandaises et internationales, une présentation de textiles thaïlandais et un défilé de tenues traditionnelles thaïlandaises. Ces activités visaient à faire connaître le caractère distinctif de l’habillement thaïlandais et à soutenir la candidature du "Chud Thai" à l’inscription sur la Liste représentative du patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’humanité de l’UNESCO.

Organisé pour la troisième fois depuis 2023, ce championnat vise à promouvoir les savoirs du massage thaïlandais à l’échelle internationale, à encourager les échanges de connaissances, à renforcer les compétences et les normes professionnelles, ainsi qu’à développer des réseaux de coopération entre entrepreneurs et experts de différents pays.

เมื่อวันที่ 7 ตุลาคม 2569 นายดามพ์ บุญธรรม เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออตตาวา ได้เยี่ยมชมศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนาของบริษัท Ciena ณ เมืองควิเบกซิตี้ รัฐควิเบก ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทชั้นนำด้านเทคโนโลยีการสื่อสารผ่านใยแก้วนำแสงความเร็วสูง (Coherent Optical Communications)
ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้รับฟังการบรรยายสรุปเกี่ยวกับการดำเนินงานของศูนย์ฯ ซึ่งมุ่งเน้นการวิจัยและพัฒนาอุปกรณ์และชิ้นส่วนโฟโตนิกส์ความเร็วสูง (High-Speed Photonic Components) ตลอดจนแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนการดำเนินธุรกิจของบริษัท Ciena ในประเทศไทย ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในฐานการผลิตที่สำคัญของบริษัทฯ

On 7 October 2026, H.E. Mr. Darm Boontham, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Canada, visited the research and development centre of Ciena, a leading company specializing in high-speed coherent optical communications technology, in Québec City, Quebec.
On this occasion, the Ambassador received a briefing on the centre’s operations, which focus on the research and development of high-speed photonic components. He also exchanged views on ways to promote and support Ciena’s business operations in Thailand, which serves as one of the company’s key manufacturing bases.

Le 7 octobre 2026, S.E. M. Darm Boontham, ambassadeur du Royaume de Thaïlande au Canada, a visité le centre de recherche et développement de Ciena, une entreprise de premier plan spécialisée dans les technologies de communication optique cohérente à haut débit, situé à Québec, dans la province de Québec.
À cette occasion, l’ambassadeur a assisté à une présentation des activités du centre, axées sur la recherche et le développement de composants photoniques à haut débit. Il a également échangé des points de vue sur les moyens de promouvoir et de soutenir les activités commerciales de Ciena en Thaïlande, qui constitue l’un des principaux sites de fabrication de l’entreprise.

เมื่อวันที่ 9 ตุลาคม 2569 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออตตาวา จัดกิจกรรมเทิดพระเกียรติ เนื่องในวันนวมินทรมหาราช 13 ตุลาคม 2569 เพื่อน้อมรำลึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณพระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร

ในโอกาสนี้ นายดามพ์ บุญธรรม เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออตตาวา พร้อมด้วยภริยา ได้เป็นประธานในพิธีวางพวงมาลาถวายราชสักการะ พิธีสวดพระพุทธมนต์ ทำบุญตักบาตร และเจริญจิตภาวนา ถวายพระราชกุศล ณ วัดราชธรรมวิริยาราม 1 กรุงออตตาวา โดยมีข้าราชการสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ เจ้าหน้าที่ท้องถิ่น และชุมชนไทยในกรุงออตตาวา และพื้นที่ใกล้เคียงเข้าร่วมโดยพร้อมเพรียงกัน

On 9 October 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Ottawa held a commemorative ceremony in observance of Navamindra Maharaj Day (13 October 2026) to pay tribute to His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great.

On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Darm Boontham, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Canada, and his spouse presided over a wreath-laying ceremony in honour of His Majesty. The proceedings continued with Buddhist prayers and a merit-making ceremony, which included alms-giving to monks and meditation, dedicated to His Majesty’s royal merit at Wat Rajadhammaviriyaram 1 in Ottawa. Officials and locally engaged staff of the Embassy, as well as members of the Thai community from Ottawa and surrounding areas, were in attendance.

Le 9 octobre 2026, l’Ambassade royale de Thaïlande à Ottawa a organisé une cérémonie commémorative à l’occasion de la Journée Navamindra Maharaj, célébrée le 13 octobre, afin de rendre hommage à Sa Majesté le feu roi Bhumibol Adulyadej le Grand.

À cette occasion, S. E. M. Darm Boontham, ambassadeur du Royaume de Thaïlande au Canada, et son épouse ont présidé une cérémonie de dépôt de g***e en hommage à Sa Majesté. La cérémonie s’est poursuivie au temple Wat Rajadhammaviriyaram 1, à Ottawa, par des prières bouddhistes et une cérémonie d’acquisition de mérites, comprenant des offrandes d’aumônes aux moines ainsi qu’une séance de méditation, en l’honneur de Sa Majesté.

Des fonctionnaires et des membres du personnel local de l’Ambassade, ainsi que des membres de la communauté thaïlandaise d’Ottawa et des environs, ont pris part à ces cérémonies commémoratives.

เมื่อวันที่ 8 ตุลาคม 2569 นายดามพ์ บุญธรรม เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออตตาวา ได้เข้าร่วมเป็นผู้อภิปรายในการประชุมเอกอัครราชทูตประเทศผู้ใช้ภาษาฝรั่งเศส (Conférence des Ambassadeurs Francophones) ภายใต้หัวข้อ “ประชาคมผู้ใช้ภาษาฝรั่งเศสในโลกที่กำลังเปลี่ยนแปลง” ณ มหาวิทยาลัยออตตาวา ซึ่งจัดขึ้นโดยองค์การระหว่างประเทศของกลุ่มประเทศผู้ใช้ภาษาฝรั่งเศส (OIF) ร่วมกับกลุ่มเอกอัครราชทูตประเทศผู้ใช้ภาษาฝรั่งเศสประจำกรุงออตตาวา (GAF-Ottawa) และมหาวิทยาลัยออตตาวา

ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้ร่วมอภิปรายในหัวข้อ “สันติภาพ ความมั่นคง และการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนในประชาคมผู้ใช้ภาษาฝรั่งเศส: ประสบการณ์จากเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้” โดยเน้นย้ำความสำคัญของการเจรจา การเคารพกฎหมายระหว่างประเทศ และความร่วมมือพหุภาคีในการส่งเสริมสันติภาพและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์ รวมถึงการรับมือกับอาชญากรรมทางไซเบอร์และการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ ตลอดจนบทบาทของประเทศไทยในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านการศึกษา ความมั่นคงทางดิจิทัล และการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนในฐานะประเทศผู้สังเกตการณ์ของ OIF

On 8 October 2026, H.E. Mr. Darm Boontham, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Canada, participated as a panellist in the Conference of Francophone Ambassadors (Conférence des Ambassadeurs Francophones), under the theme “La Francophonie dans un monde en transformation” (Francophonie in a Changing World), held at the University of Ottawa. The conference was jointly organized by the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), the Group of Francophone Ambassadors in Ottawa (GAF-Ottawa), and the University of Ottawa.

On this occasion, the Ambassador delivered remarks on “Peace, Security and Sustainable Development in the Francophone Space: The Southeast Asian Experience,” emphasizing the importance of dialogue, respect for international law, and multilateral cooperation in promoting peace and human security, including addressing cybercrime and climate change. He also highlighted Thailand’s commitment to strengthening cooperation in education, digital security, and sustainable development as an observer member of the OIF.

Le 8 octobre 2026, S.E. M. Darm Boontham, Ambassadeur du Royaume de Thaïlande au Canada, a participé en tant que panéliste à la Conférence des Ambassadeurs Francophones, placée sous le thème « La Francophonie dans un monde en transformation », tenue à l’Université d’Ottawa. Cette conférence a été organisée conjointement par l’Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), le Groupe des Ambassadeurs et Ambassadrices francophones d’Ottawa (GAF-Ottawa) et l’Université d’Ottawa.

À cette occasion, l’Ambassadeur est intervenu sur le thème « Paix, sécurité et développement durable dans l’espace francophone : l’expérience de l’Asie du Sud-Est », soulignant l’importance du dialogue, du respect du droit international et de la coopération multilatérale pour promouvoir la paix et la sécurité humaine, notamment face à la cybercriminalité et aux changements climatiques. Il a également mis en valeur l’engagement de la Thaïlande à renforcer la coopération dans les domaines de l’éducation, de la sécurité numérique et du développement durable, en sa qualité d’État observateur auprès de l’OIF.

เมื่อวันที่ 7 ตุลาคม 2569 นายดามพ์ บุญธรรม เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออตตาวา ได้เข้าร่วมและกล่าวเปิดการสัมมนาวิชาการหัวข้อ “Economic Security, Connectivity, and Influence Strategy in Southeast Asia: Comparative Perspectives on Vietnam and Thailand” ณ มหาวิทยาลัย Laval เมืองควิเบกซิตี้ รัฐควิเบก ซึ่งจัดโดยศูนย์วิจัยด้านอินโด-แปซิฟิก (Chaire de recherche en études indo-pacifiques) มหาวิทยาลัย Laval ร่วมกับหน่วยงานภาคี เพื่อส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และมุมมองเชิงนโยบายเกี่ยวกับความมั่นคงทางเศรษฐกิจ ความเชื่อมโยง และบทบาทของไทยและเวียดนามในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมกว่า 80 คน ประกอบด้วยนักวิชาการ คณาจารย์ นักศึกษา ตลอดจนผู้แทนภาครัฐและภาคเอกชน
ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้แลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองกับผู้เข้าร่วมงานและนักวิชาการจากประเทศไทยเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการเสริมสร้างความมั่นคงทางเศรษฐกิจและความร่วมมือในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ท่ามกลางการเปลี่ยนแปลงของภูมิทัศน์เศรษฐกิจและภูมิรัฐศาสตร์โลก การสัมมนาดังกล่าวยังเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางวิชาการระหว่างไทยกับแคนาดา ตลอดจนสร้างความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับบทบาทและศักยภาพของไทยในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ นอกจากนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ยังได้พบปะและพูดคุยกับชุมชนชาวไทยที่เข้าร่วมงานด้วย

On 7 October 2026, H.E. Mr. Darm Boontham, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Canada, attended and delivered the opening remarks at an academic symposium entitled “Economic Security, Connectivity, and Influence Strategy in Southeast Asia: Comparative Perspectives on Vietnam and Thailand” at Laval University in Québec City, Quebec. The symposium was organized by the Chaire de recherche en études indo-pacifiques (Indo-Pacific Research Chair) at Laval University, in collaboration with partner organizations, to promote the exchange of knowledge and policy perspectives on economic security, connectivity, and the roles of Thailand and Vietnam in Southeast Asia. The event brought together more than 80 participants, including academics, faculty members, students, and representatives from the public and private sectors.
On this occasion, the Ambassador exchanged views with participants and academics from Thailand on approaches to strengthening economic security and regional cooperation in Southeast Asia amid ongoing changes in the global economic and geopolitical landscape. The symposium also provided an important opportunity to promote academic cooperation between Thailand and Canada and enhance understanding of Thailand’s role and potential in Southeast Asia. In addition, the Ambassador met and engaged with members of the Thai community who attended the event.

Darm Boontham, ambassadeur du Royaume de Thaïlande au Canada, a participé à un colloque universitaire intitulé «Sécurité économique, connectivité et stratégie d'influence en Asie du Sud-Est: regards croisés Vietnam – Thaïlande » et en a prononcé le discours d’ouverture à l’Université Laval, à Québec, au Québec. Organisé par la Chaire de recherche en études indo-pacifiques de l’Université Laval, en collaboration avec des organismes partenaires, ce colloque visait à favoriser les échanges de connaissances et de perspectives stratégiques sur la sécurité économique, la connectivité ainsi que les rôles de la Thaïlande et du Vietnam en Asie du Sud-Est. L’événement a réuni plus de 80 participants, notamment des chercheurs, des membres du corps professoral, des étudiants ainsi que des représentants des secteurs public et privé.
À cette occasion, l’ambassadeur a échangé des points de vue avec les participants et des universitaires venus de Thaïlande sur les approches visant à renforcer la sécurité économique et la coopération régionale en Asie du Sud-Est, dans un contexte marqué par l’évolution du paysage économique mondial et de la situation géopolitique internationale. Le colloque a également constitué une occasion importante de promouvoir la coopération universitaire entre la Thaïlande et le Canada, ainsi que de mieux faire connaître le rôle et le potentiel de la Thaïlande en Asie du Sud-Est. Par ailleurs, l’ambassadeur a rencontré des membres de la communauté thaïlandaise présents à l’événement et a échangé avec eux.

เมื่อวันที่ 6 ตุลาคม 2569 นายดามพ์ บุญธรรม เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงออตตาวา ได้เยี่ยมชมบริษัท Aero PMD ซึ่งดำเนินธุรกิจด้านการฝึกอบรมบุคลากรในอุตสาหกรรมการผลิตและซ่อมบำรุงอากาศยาน ตั้งอยู่ที่เมือง Mirabel รัฐควิเบก โดยมีนาย Pierre Dugas ประธานบริษัท ให้การต้อนรับ
ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตได้รับฟังการบรรยายสรุปเกี่ยวกับการดำเนินงานของบริษัท รวมทั้งความร่วมมือกับหน่วยงานของไทยในการพัฒนาและฝึกอบรมบุคลากรด้านการบิน ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับนโยบายของไทยในการส่งเสริมอุตสาหกรรมการผลิตและซ่อมบำรุงอากาศยาน เพื่อยกระดับขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันและส่งเสริมการพัฒนาประเทศไทยสู่การเป็นศูนย์กลางอุตสาหกรรมการบินในภูมิภาค

On 6 October 2026, H.E. Mr. Darm Boontham, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Canada, visited Aero PMD, a company specializing in training personnel for the aircraft manufacturing and maintenance industry, located in Mirabel, Quebec. He was warmly welcomed by Mr. Pierre Dugas, President of Aero PMD.
On this occasion, the Ambassador received a briefing on the company’s operations, as well as its cooperation with Thai agencies in developing and training aviation personnel. This cooperation aligns with Thailand’s policy to promote the aircraft manufacturing and maintenance industry, enhance the country’s competitiveness, and advance Thailand’s development towards becoming a regional aviation industry hub.

Le 6 octobre 2026, S.E. M. Darm Boontham, ambassadeur du Royaume de Thaïlande au Canada, a effectué une visite de l’entreprise Aero PMD, spécialisée dans la formation de personnel pour les secteurs de la fabrication et de la maintenance aéronautiques, située à Mirabel, au Québec. Il a été chaleureusement accueilli par M. Pierre Dugas, président de l’entreprise.
À cette occasion, l’ambassadeur a assisté à une présentation des activités de l’entreprise, ainsi que de sa coopération avec les organismes thaïlandais en matière de développement et de formation du personnel aéronautique. Cette coopération s’inscrit dans la politique de la Thaïlande visant à promouvoir l’industrie de la fabrication et de la maintenance aéronautiques, à renforcer la compétitivité du pays et à favoriser son développement en tant que pôle régional de l’industrie aéronautique.
