🍦 The trip down memory lane continues... Anyone remember Dickie Dee?

The sound of that bell coming down the street meant one thing — ice cream! 🍦 Those little Dickie Dee bikes were such a big part of summer growing up. Hearing that familiar bell and running out with a few dollars to pick your favourite treat… ❤️

🛼 Remember Skateway Roller Disco?
It wasn't very far from Christie Public School. For those who grew up in Ottawa in the late ’70s and early ’80s, Skateway was a popular place to skate, listen to music and hang out.
Located at Greenbank Road and Morrison Drive, in Ottawa’s west end, Skateway opened around 1978 and featured a huge skating floor, disco lights, music, video games and a snack bar. It even had about 1,200 pairs of rental skates and was featured in Skate Magazine in 1980.
Skateway eventually closed around 1984, but it left a lot of great memories. 🛼🎶
