Ted Campbell passed peacefully in his sleep at 6:25 a.m. on April 7, 2026, after a long and courageous journey. In true Ted fashion, he faced everything with strength, dignity, and quiet resilience.

This Friday past, as per Ted’s wishes, we gathered at the NCR Officer’s Mess to honour his life, share stories, and remember the man he was to all of us.

His sons spoke fondly and with humour, of their father, and Sandy McQuarrie spoke of Ted’s connection to our regiment and the association.

Those wishing to honour Ted's life are requested to support one of Canada's military memorials or museums.

He will be missed.

Death of Col (Ret'd) Ted Campbell
Ted was the Sigs Offr in 2RCR in Germany in the late 60's. He valued his association with the Regiment and was a constant supporter of the Association and the Ottawa Branch. He died of cancer complications on 7 April. He will be missed.
