National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Today, we honour the children who never came home, the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and Indigenous communities across Canada.

As a child welfare agency, we recognize the lasting impacts of colonial policies that separated Indigenous children from their families, cultures, and communities. We are committed to listening, learning, and taking meaningful action to support reconciliation and to uphold the rights, voices, and well-being of Indigenous children, youth, and families.

Truth and Reconciliation is more than a day, it's an ongoing journey of reflection, accountability, relationship-building, and change. We stand with Indigenous communities as we continue working toward a future where every child can grow up connected to their family, culture, identity, and community.

🧡 Every Child Matters. 🧡

This week, we celebrate the everyday HEROES who open their hearts, homes, and lives to support children and youth. Their dedication helps keep family connections strong and creates a foundation for lifelong belonging.

To every kinship caregiver in our community: thank you for the impact you make each and every day. 💚
