Community Living Owen Sound & District Committed to assisting people with developmental needs to live their most meaningful lives! There is no fee to access services.

Community Living Owen Sound and District provides a variety of services and person-centered supports ranging from itinerant early intervention services for infants, toddlers and preschoolers to “Summer Teen Connect”, a seasonal activity based opportunity for young people, to ongoing residential, recreational and vocational supports for young adults, adults and seniors. Community Living Owen Sound and District provides advocacy for those receiving services and their families, direct services, and capacity building of the local community through value based practices. A personal and/or family-centered facilitated process is the means by which supports for people are planned and delivered. Community Living Owen Sound adheres to the highest standards of professionalism and accountability. Community Living Owen Sound and District is a government funded transfer payment agency and has limited financial resources. An application and eligibility process is in place for all government funded programs. Transportation services cannot be provided.

Happy ECE Appreciation Day! Care Counts!

At Community Living Owen Sound & District, on this day October 21, 2026, we celebrate the Early Childhood Educators who make every child feel valued, supported, and included.

A special thank you to the ECEs who work alongside our Special Needs Resource (SNR) Consultants to create inclusive environments where every child can learn, grow, and belong. We also recognize the important role our Special Needs Resource (SNR) Consultants play in supporting ECEs and childcare teams. Through collaboration, guidance, and individualized strategies, our SNR Consultants work alongside educators to strengthen inclusion and help ensure every child can participate meaningfully in their childcare environment and the community.

Yesterday was an exciting day as we welcomed Ruff, MP .bgos Jo-Anne from Community Living Ontario , Mayor Boddy, and others to celebrate the official ribbon cutting at the new Supported Independent Living building. Thanks to funding from Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) . The MOST magical part of the day though, was the sweet sounds of the Melody Makers Choir...who sung as the ribbon was cut and the doors opened. Thanks to everyone who came out.
