Shirley McClellan Aquatic Centre The Town of Oyen opened the new Shirley McClellan Aquatic Centre pool facility to the public in 2005.

The facility includes a junior Olympic size pool, zero depth entry, water slide, lazy river, and a water umbrella. The Aquatic building consists of a Mens and Womens change room with lockers, showers and washroom. There is also a Family and Handicap changeroom both with showers and washroom. The facility is used for swimming lessons, public swimming, aqua fit classes, and Rentals. When you drive o

r walk by and hear the kids, you’ll see why we feel extremely fortunate to have such a beautiful facility in our community.

The FINAL WEEK of operations at the Oyen Pool is here. We will be OPEN until Sunday August 30th. Regular hours apply with the following changes:

Monday-Friday AM
7:00-9:00 = Lane Swim
9:00-11:00 = Family Swim
11:00-1:00pm = Private Lessons/Lane Swim
1:00pm-CLOSE (9pm) = Regular Hours

Friday evening
6:00-10:00pm = GLOW SWIM
Come to the pool for our final event and enjoy the full moon with the pool lights, glow sticks, music, friends & family.

Sunday
1:00-3:00 = Family Swim
3:00-7:00 = Public Swim
7:00 = CLOSED for the season

Tuesday August 18th - Public Swimming begins at 1pm. Staff training has been moved to tomorrow.

Wednesday August 19th - CLOSED from noon to 2pm. Public Swimming begins at 2pm.

We will be CLOSED the morning of Friday July 31st. Regular schedule begins at noon with lane swim and public swim at 1pm.

9:00-11:00 A.M. = morning family swim
11:00- 1:00 P.M. = lane swim/private lessons
No morning family swim on Friday July 31st.

*Starting July 27- we will no longer be having evening lane swim until the end of the season. Pool will be CLOSED at 9pm on weekdays now.

Due to limited registration and a shortage of staff, session 3 (July 27-31st) of swimming lessons will be CANCELLED. We are still planning on continuing with session 4 (August 17-21st).

If you would like to register for Session 4 or private lessons call the pool at (403) 664-7946.
