Shirley McClellan Aquatic Centre The Town of Oyen opened the new Shirley McClellan Aquatic Centre pool facility to the public in 2005.

The facility includes a junior Olympic size pool, zero depth entry, water slide, lazy river, and a water umbrella. The Aquatic building consists of a Mens and Womens change room with lockers, showers and washroom. There is also a Family and Handicap changeroom both with showers and washroom. The facility is used for swimming lessons, public swimming, aqua fit classes, and Rentals. When you drive o

r walk by and hear the kids, you’ll see why we feel extremely fortunate to have such a beautiful facility in our community.

The 2025 swim season is complete and the pool is now CLOSED. Many thanks to the staff this summer for making this facility a safe and welcoming place for our community to relax and have fun in. This summer we were able to offer many more swim lesson options, brought back AquaFit classes, had dedicated morning lane swimmers and ended the year with a massively successful bubble party. All this would not have been possible without the wonderful staff we had this summer who kept this place running from sun up to sun down!!! We wish them the best of luck as they pursue new adventures and education opportunities during the offseason.
