The Provincial Government is looking for feedback on road safety in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Have your say on potential changes to the Highway Traffic Act to ensure everyone is safe and sound. The consultation focuses on the following topics:
➡️ E-bikes, e-scooters, and other micro-mobility devices
➡️ Car and booster seats for children
➡️ Bicycle safety for children
➡️ Driving schools
Complete the online questionnaire through www.engagenl.ca/en, email your feedback to [email protected], or submit written comments by mail.
The deadline to submit your feedback is September 3, 2026.

The Provincial Government is seeking public feedback on potential changes to the Highway Traffic Act to help ensure the legislation remains current, effective and responsive to evolving road safety issues.
The consultation will focus on:

✅ Car and booster seats for children
✅ Bicycle safety for children
✅ Driving schools
Residents are also encouraged to share feedback on any road safety issue they believe should be considered.
