Last Friday, families gathered at Paris Optimist Park for a fantastic PA Day in the Park celebration! ☀️

We had an amazing time enjoying bubble soccer, games, stories, and smiles with so many wonderful families in our community. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special!

A huge thank you to County of Brant Fire for bringing the fire truck and sharing fire safety with our young visitors, and to the County of Brant Public Library for keeping everyone engaged with great stories and activities.

Take a look at some of our favorite moments from the day! 📸

We thought we had the moves…Turns out we need a few more practices 😂

Unlike this dance, your home fire escape plan shouldn’t be a guessing game.

🔥 Practice your escape plan with your family🔥 Make sure everyone knows two ways out
🔥 Pick a meeting place outside

A little practice now helps prevent confusion when it matters most.

We’ll keep working on the dance...You keep working on your home escape plan!

This past weekend, the County of Brant Fire Prevention Team hosted camping trailer inspections at Bloom Resorts Willow Lake to help ensure seasonal occupants are staying fire safe this summer.

Just like at home, it is important to have working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in your trailer or seasonal camping unit. A few simple safety checks can make a big difference in an emergency.

A special thank you to Sylvia, Manager of Willow Lake Campground, for helping organize and support this important fire safety initiative.

It was a busy weekend for the County of Brant Fire Department with members from Station 3 and Station 8 out connecting with the community at two great events 🚒

Station 3, Burford Firefighter's Association attended the Woodstock Truck Show at the Burford Fairgrounds, giving visitors the opportunity to view the fire apparatus, ask questions, and connect with local firefighters.

County of Brant Fire Station #8 Scotland hosted their annual Touch-a-Truck event at the Bloom Resorts Willow Lake, where families had the chance to explore emergency vehicles, meet firefighters, and learn more about fire prevention and safety.

Thank you to the volunteer firefighters for taking time out of their weekend to support these events, and thank you to everyone who attended and helped make both events a success 👨‍🚒🔥

Final Reminder in Our Spring Cleaning Fire Safety Series

One of the most important safety checks you can do at home takes less than a minute.

✔ Test your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms monthly
✔ Replace batteries as needed
✔ Check the expiry date on every alarm
🚨 Smoke alarms expire after 10 years
🚨 Carbon monoxide alarms expire after 7–10 years (check manufacturer instructions)

Working alarms provide early warning and can save lives when every second counts.

Take a few minutes this spring to make sure your home and family are protected. 🏠🔥

Community means everything to us.

As part of our Grand Opening celebrations, we were proud to present a $750 donation to the Burford Fire Association in recognition of the incredible support, time, and effort their members dedicated to helping make our event such a success.

Since arriving in Burford and Brant County, we have felt incredibly welcomed by the community, and we are grateful for the relationships we are continuing to build with local fire departments, firefighters, and community partners.

At 1200 Degrees Ontario, supporting Ontario fire departments goes far beyond the products and services we provide. It’s about partnerships, showing up for the fire service, and giving back to the communities that support us.

Thank you again to the Burford Fire Association and Brant Fire & Rescue for your support, partnership, and warm welcome into the community.

We are proud to now call Burford home.
