📣 A love song to our very own Miss Kerri who makes the magic happen in Let’s Get Ready for Kindergarten, Family Storytime, Saturday Storytime programs and endless classroom visits within our community!

Miss Kerri, you’re the person who notices the little things. The child who needs the extra encouragement. The tiny achievement that deserves celebrating. The child who just needs someone to believe in their potential.

The impact you have on children is enormous, especially in the smallest of library moments. With a career in Early Childhood Education that spans over 20 years with CBPL, we are so fortunate to have you! 💛

It's Ontario Public Library Week, and this year we're celebrating the vital role libraries play in the lives through the theme, "Get Loud for Libraries!" Will you get involved?

Libraries aren’t just about books (though we love those too!). They are safe, welcoming spaces for learning, growth, connection, and support at every stage of life.

Sign up for a library card, renew your existing membership, register for a program, explore our Makerspace, or simply drop by any branch and (re)discover your love of reading.

We’re giving a well-deserved shoutout to the people who make our libraries welcoming, inclusive spaces. Our staff bring warmth, creativity, humour, and seriously good vibes—always ready to help and greet everyone with a smile.

While not every member of our amazing team is shown here, today is for all CBPL staff across our library community who answer questions, share resources and recommendations, spark curiosity, build connections, inspire for lifelong learning and make our library so special!

Service Interruption | October 15, 2026: Paris Branch and Burford Branch remain open but both locations are operating with an internet outage. This is affecting phone lines and certain services such as wireless printing and internet access on library computers. Our circulation system remains unaffected and we are able to check out materials. Thank you for your patience. Please check our social channels and our website for updates.

We join our community in mourning the loss of Salah Bachir, a prominent patron for the arts, library advocate, entrepreneur, art collector, philanthropist, whose passion for beauty, humanity and giving back helped strengthen the community he loved and called home.

Salah lived a life defined by curiosity, generosity, and an unwavering belief in the power of people, stories, and the arts to bring us together. Throughout his life, he was a passionate champion of the arts, culture, and the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, contributions that earned him some of the nation’s highest honours as a member of both the Order of Ontario and the Order of Canada, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from Pride Toronto. But those who knew him will remember most his warmth, kindness, and extraordinary generosity of spirit as a proud long-time Paris resident.

In support of fundraising for the Library's future, he generously donated 100 copies of his published memoir, First to Leave the Party, a demonstration of his enduring belief in the power of local community spaces to inspire curiosity, foster connection, and enrich lives.

We are deeply grateful for Salah's support, and we will always remember him with admiration and affection.
