Q: How can I request that my subdivision road be paved?

A: Parkland County’s Country Residential Road Surfacing Policy outlines how residents can request the upgrade of a gravel subdivision road to a paved road through the Local Improvement process.

To initiate the process, you must submit a petition supported by at least two-thirds of the affected landowners. Local improvement costs apply.

For more information, including eligibility requirements, petition details, and frequently asked questions, visit www.parklandcounty.com/roads.

The first Battle for the Bell is officially in the books! 🔔

Twenty-eight Parkland County firefighters came together at the Acheson Fire Hall for an evening of teamwork, friendly competition and firehall pride while putting many of the same skills they rely on during emergency response to the test.

The event also gave our crews a chance to give back, with 135 boxes of cereal collected for the Parkland Food Bank.

Think you could be part of the crew? 🧑‍🚒

Paid-on-call firefighter recruitment opens August 31 for our Acheson, Parkland Village, Tomahawk, and Wabamun fire stations.

No previous firefighting experience is required. We provide the training and equipment, and paid-on-call firefighters are compensated for training and emergency response.

Applications are open August 31 to September 28.

As harvest season begins, you may notice farm machinery on the roads, travelling at slow speeds.

Keep everyone safe by slowing down when approaching farm equipment and only passing when you have total visibility. Make sure to always leave a safe distance and drive patiently while farmers work. 🚜🌾
