The YMCA Employment and Learning Service of Parry Sound offers FREE services for job seekers, employers, and individuals looking to enhance their literacy, numeracy and computer skills. For Job Seekers:
Drop in services include: computer use for resume and cover letter preparation, internet access, a fax machine, photocopier and telephone use for job search. One-on-One services include: employment

assessment, mentoring, job matching, assisted job search and possible financial incentives. For Employers:
Services offered include: employment information, placement and training of individuals, potential wage subsidies, current employment standards information, and support with Canada's training grant, COJG. For Learners:
The YMCA offers classes and one-on-one support covering basic computer knowledge, reading, writing and arithmetic skills that will help with gaining employment. The YMCA employment services center is funded by the Federal & Ontario Government.

📢 Important Notice: YMCA Closure on Monday, April 6

In recognition of the incredible hard work and dedication of our staff teams over the past year, we will be closed today, Monday, April 6 for YMCA Employee Wellness Day.

This day is an opportunity for our amazing staff to rest, recharge, and focus on their well-being as a thank you for all they do to support our community.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we take the time to celebrate and care for our team. Regular operations will resume tomorrow, on Tuesday, April 7, and we look forward to welcoming you back!

Thank you for being part of our YMCA family and for supporting the people who make it all possible. ❤️

This is a special month dedicated to celebrating the extraordinary contributions volunteers bring to our communities, including our dedicated team of volunteers here at the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka.

Our volunteers help create welcoming spaces and meaningful experiences for our community. Volunteers are the heartbeat of our community, bringing compassion, hope, and meaningful change to those around them. Thank you, volunteers, for all that you do! We are so grateful for each and every one of you.

What a fantastic day at the YMCA Job Fair.
A sincere thank you to our sponsors The Gas Man, The Labour Market Group, Artisan Construction, The Home Depot, and Fowler Construction for helping make this event possible!

We are also grateful to Parry Sound Area Chamber of Commerce for partnering with us to bring employers and job seekers together.

A big thank you as well to Starbucks and Sobeys for generously donating refreshments to keep everyone fueled throughout the event.

We would also like to thank the local businesses and community members who contributed door prizes for the event. Your generosity helped add an extra bit of excitement to the day.

To all the employers, job seekers, and community partners who participated, thank you for making the day such a success. Events like this are a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community works together to create opportunity!
