For sailors and boaters info-to join in or to avoid the regatta race course….
2026 33rd Annual Round Rose Invitational
Sunday August 2, 2026
Hi Everyone,
With the August Long Weekend quickly approaching, we are excited to be hosting the 33rd annual Round Rose Regatta! The Round Rose Regatta is an annual sailing race started by a group of local cottagers (and sometime sailors) to promote the sport of sailing and friendly competition among the cottager group - with a strong emphasis on having fun at the same time. You do not have to be an experienced racing sailor to enjoy the Round Rose Regatta! We welcome all sailing craft.
Come and join us for the Race and then for a few libations at the Attitude Adjustment Party [AAP] and Awards presentation afterward. After putting away your Boats post-race families can boat to Burnes’s cottage beach on Rose Island (the finish of race – a cottage with Red Roof 65C #20) for a ~4:00 pm AAP start.
To assist us in planning please register in advance by either emailing [email protected] or call Linda Spremo at 416-735-0796. Email should include # of participants, type of boat and number of crew, or else by informing the Committee Boat on the start line prior to the start of the race on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, at approx. 11 A.M.
PFDs: the Round Rose Regatta will be maintaining a strict PFD policy. Skippers and crew must be wearing their PFDs during the race, or they will be marked as Did Not Finish (DNF).
There is no entry fee to enter the regatta or to attend the Attitude Adjustment Party to follow the race. Unlike prior years there will not be a BBQ but please bring your own libations and a snack if you so please. All members of the family and their guests are welcome to come to the Attitude Adjustment Party and feel free to bring your own folding chairs if desired.
Further details on divisions and course layout are available from the race committee. If you have any questions, please feel free to email [email protected]. Looking forward to seeing you at the start-line or the AAP afterward!
