A little last-minute request for tomorrow.

🥫 𝐖𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲!🥫

After a full inventory and review of our big grocery shop, we’ve hit a gap: ᴡᴇ’ʀᴇ ʀᴜɴɴɪɴɢ sʜᴏʀᴛ ᴏɴ ᴄᴀɴɴᴇᴅ ᴠᴇɢɢɪᴇs.

Every year, we like to tuck a few cans into each Turkeys for Tummies hamper. They’re a simple way to stretch a meal just a little bit further for the families who receive them. Right now, we don’t have nearly enough, and the hampers are coming together fast.
We’ve seen what this community can do. You’ve shown up for us in big ways for 11 years, and we’re asking once more.

A few notes as we’re gearing up for the big day.

Hi all ~ a quick note of thanks!

This event is run 100% by volunteers.

~ We have no paid staff.
~ Our drivers cover their own gas.
~ We all take time off work to work these events.

If we miss an email or message, or get an order mixed up, please bear with us and let us know so we can fix it. We're grateful for your grace and for being part of our community!

𝔸 𝕗𝕖𝕨 𝕢𝕦𝕚𝕔𝕜 𝕕𝕖𝕥𝕒𝕚𝕝𝕤 𝕥𝕠 𝕙𝕖𝕝𝕡 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝕘𝕠 𝕤𝕞𝕠𝕠𝕥𝕙𝕝𝕪:

𝔻𝕖𝕝𝕚𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕤: You'll be notified the way you requested (call, text, or email) when we're leaving to deliver to your home. Every delivery follows a carefully planned route, so all we ask is that you're there to accept it.

ℙ𝕚𝕔𝕜𝕦𝕡𝕤: Pickups will not begin until at least 10am. We have a short window to pull off this entire day, and we ask that you give us some time to pack before we start welcoming pickups.

ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕞𝕦𝕟𝕚𝕔𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟: We have many hands working to pull this off, and sometimes that might mean that you receive 2 messages rather than 1; we’re just trying to make sure that everything is covered. The team working that day will be using all methods to communicate with the recipients; please bear with us!

We’re thrilled to share some very sweet news!

Once again this year, C.A.R.E. Coalition has been selected as one of the recipient charities of the proceeds from the Tim Hortons Holiday Cookie Campaign! ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to our local Tim Hortons teams and to everyone who helps make this campaign such a meaningful way to support our community.

Last year, your generosity helped us raise more than $7,000 for C.A.R.E. Coalition, with another $7,000 raised to support the local Tim Hortons Camp! 🙌

We’re hoping to make this year’s campaign just as successful, and we can’t wait to share more details with you soon.

Big thanks to the students of Francis Pegahmagabow Elementary School and Parry Sound High School for holding a food drive for our Thanksgiving Event - PS Area Turkeys for Tummies event!

Thanks to them, we have a lot less stuffing and gravy to buy!

We’re so happy that this new school was able to be so supportive of our event.

(We also know that we’re getting some incredible Thanksgiving cards from some of the classes - we will save that cuteness for later 😉)

Our THIRD summer snack bag approaching!!

We’re finalizing our shopping list for our third pick-up, and need our community’s help with a few items:

🥣 50 boxes of cereal (any kind)
🥜 42 jars of peanut butter
🍎 40 packages of applesauce

Please connect with us if you are unable to drop them off at Dr. Erin Axt, Optometrist office between now and Friday, July 31st, between 8:30-5. Otherwise, you can drop all donations there!

We have the best community! Let’s keep the support going!!🙌🏻

Our SECOND summer snack bag approaching!!

We’re finalizing our shopping list for Tuesday’s pick-up, and need our community’s help with a few more items:

🥞 50 boxes of pancake mix
🔸 50 bags of Crispy Minis (any flavour)
🍎 50 packages of applesauce

Please connect with us if you are unable to drop them off at Dr. Erin Axt, Optometrist office between now and Friday, or on Monday, July 20th, between 8:30-5. Otherwise, you can drop all donations there!
