📢📢Registrations are open for the 2026 Parry Sound in Bloom Garden Contest!

🌺💐🌸If you’ve been working hard on your front-yard garden, this is your chance to showcase your efforts and be recognized for helping beautify our community. Registration is free and open to Town of Parry Sound residents, and entries must be submitted by Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

📢Have your say on parking in Parry Sound!

📆Join us at the Parking Study Public Open House this Thursday, June 4th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Bobby Orr Community Centre. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the study, review project information, and share your feedback on current and future parking needs in our community.

📝Can’t make it in person? Resident and business surveys are also available online until June 29, 2026.

Get your walking shoes ready, Parry Sound!

June is just around the corner, which means it’s almost time to kick off the Parks Adventure Passport.

Starting Monday, June 1st, you can begin your quest to explore 12 of our amazing local parks and trails. From the heights of the Tower Hill lookout to the winding paths of Treetops Community Forest, there is a whole month of discovery waiting for you!

📍Pick up your passport at the Town Office, or Parry Sound Public Library

Why participate?
Not only will you discover new favorite spots and complete fun "Explorer Prompts" but completing your book earns you a set of official stickers and an entry to win the Grand Prize: A brand-new Bicycle, Helmet, and Outdoor Fun Pack! 🚲🔥

Grab your passport, gather your "big explorers," and let’s make this a June to remember.

🌿 Join us tomorrow for Garden Explorers at Tower Hill Heritage Garden! 🌸

🗓️ This week's theme: Spring Awakening
When: TOMORROW | 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Where: Meet at the Flagpole/Habitat Garden (right across from the Museum entrance).

What’s happening?
🐸Frog Watching: we’ll be scouting the ponds to find our hopping friends and learn about their life cycles.

🌸Garden Prep: Help us plant beautiful annuals in the Children’s Butterfly Garden.

🌅The Grand Finale: We’ll end the night by climbing the Tower to watch the sun set over the Big Sound.

🌺 DISCOVER THE MAGIC IN OUR BACKYARD! 🌳

June is Recreation and Parks Month, and we are celebrating with the launch of the Parry Sound Parks Adventure Passport! 🗺️✨

Are you ready to climb, run, swing, and explore? We’ve put together a guide to 12 of our amazing local spots—from the sandy shores of Waubuno to the winding trails of Treetops.

How it works:
1️⃣ Grab your Passport: at the Town Office, or Parry Sound Public Library
2️⃣ Explore in June: Visit the parks, answer the "Explorer Prompts," and complete the fun challenges.
3️⃣ Claim Your Trophy: Starting June 27th, bring your completed book to the Waubuno Beach Lifeguards (daily 10am-6pm) to get your official sticker pack!
4️⃣ Win Big: Every completed passport gets you an entry into our Grand Prize Draw for a brand-new Bicycle, Helmet, and Outdoor Adventure Pack! 🚲🔥

Join us for a Public Open House on the Core Area Parking Plan and share your input on future parking options in the downtown area of Parry Sound! We welcome residents, businesses, and visitors to stop by on Thursday, June 4, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Bobby Orr Community Centre.

Our very first Tower Hill Garden Explorers session is next week: Thursday, May 28th, and we can’t wait to kick off the season with you.

🌿 May 28th Theme: Spring Awakening: We will explore the garden and woods to see how the plants and wildlife wake up in spring. We will check for frogs in the natural and man-made ponds, and plant annual flowers in the butterfly garden.🌸

💡 Quick Details:
Ages: 6 and up.
Format: Drop-in (Sign-in starts at 6:00 PM).
Cost: FREE
Wear: Comfortable clothes and shoes for exploring the garden and woods!
