The Vision Quest is an amazing experience
Kinanâskomitin - Thank You
Our hearts are full of gratitude for everyone who helped make this year’s Vision Quest possible.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Indigenous Reconciliation Fund - the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Grouard, Sagitawa Friendship Society, and Dennis Whitford 2Thunder Consulting for their generous support and contributions. My apologies for anyone I may have missed .
Thank you to the ceremonial leaders, helpers, volunteers, and supporters who gave their time, knowledge, and energy throughout the week. Your dedication helped create a safe and meaningful space for healing, learning, and connection.
A special thank you to the fasters who accepted this sacred responsibility with courage, commitment, and humility, and to those who supported and cared for them throughout their journey.
We are deeply grateful to Elder Priscilla Lalonde for sharing her teachings through the medicine walk, traditional parenting sessions.
Thank you to our amazing cook Barb who kept everyone well fed and cared for during the gathering. The meals, hospitality, and kindness you shared were appreciated by all.
We also ask that you keep Dennis and Jean in your prayers. Jean is currently very ill, and we pray that Creator surrounds her with strength, comfort, healing, and love. May Dennis & Family find courage, peace, and support as he walks beside her during this difficult time.
To everyone who attended, supported, prayed, volunteered, taught, learned, and helped in any way—kinanâskomitin. These gatherings are only possible because of the collective efforts of many hands and many hearts. We are honoured to walk this journey together.
