Have you ever wanted to learn too much about hot tub cleaning and maintenance?

Even a newly renovated hot tub has to undergo regular maintenance to help keep it in tip-top shape! Every 6-8 weeks, the entire hot tub is drained to allow staff to deep scrub the basin. Afterwards, the hot tub is refilled and slowly climbs back up to temperature throughout the rest of the day (water from the tap starts at just 5°C!). Assuming nothing goes awry, the hot tub is able to reopen the following day.

We will do our best to provide notice of such closures ahead of time, when possible.

Midway between these full basin scrubs, the back tank is isolated and drained to allow for cleaning of the hot tub filters. While typically the hot tub is back up and running before we're open on the day of these cleanings, it may be slightly cooler than usual for the remainder of the day!

The hot tub is also more vulnerable to water quality issues than the main pool, as it is a much warmer yet smaller body of water. This means sometimes it must be closed while staff work to get its chemical balance back to the proper range.
