Co-Hosted by the Peachland library and the Arts Council the author Elinor Florence did a talk relating to her book “Bird’s Eye View.” It was an informative and insightful talk pertaining to women’s roles in WW2 and aerial photography. For those of you who may have missed the event you can still check out her book at the library today!

There was not a spare seat in the house when author Elinor Florence came to Peachland to discuss her novel, 'Bird's Eye View,' on Nov. 21. The event, which was held at the Peachland art gallery, also included a wine and cheese reception as well as the kick off of the gallery's latest exhibition. Richard Smith photo

STRANGE BUT TRUE… AT THE LIBRARY!

Summer Reading Club is an annual event held every July and August for kids from 6 to 12 years old. Programs are free with weekly book draws, guest speakers, draws for various contests, and crafts. It’s always great to see everyone from the young to the young at heart enjoying themselves!

We would like to thank many people and groups for their continuing and much appreciated support. Peachland Friends of the Library helped pay for our speakers and many prizes would not happen without them. Our speakers were all very popular this year: Kendra Dixon, Barb Wilson, Tim Stubbert, Mike Broback, and Ali-K-Zam. Thanks also to Principal Sylvain Guignard and the teachers of Peachland Elementary School, who support us with school visits.

Last but not least, thank you to all the children and parents/caregivers who participate each year to make the program so successful. We look forward to seeing you at the library!
