Happy Indigenous Peoples Day!
Today we celebrate the people, the families, the traditions, the art, the culture, and the extraordinary resilience of the first peoples of this land.
As we face the potential of Fisher Ambulance closing, we reflect on the importance of Indigenous determined healthcare.
It is our great privilege to serve and support the people of Peguis, Ochekwi-sipi, and Kinonjeoshtegon.

Yesterday we celebrated the life of our friend Jay Butchart. We are privileged to have served alongside him. Rest easy Jay, and thank you.

Fisher Ambulance Service utilizes expired equipment and medications for high fidelity simulation training. However, our excess IV fluids needed a home and were donated to the Winnipeg Humane Society. The rescue service has done outreach to Peguis in the past and so we felt it only fitting to donate the supplies to them😺🐶🚑

Fisher Ambulance Service paramedics have now all been trained in the Pallium Canada LEAP Paramedic program. The course teaches the essential practical knowledge, attitudes, and skills to provide a palliative care approach on-site in the community.
