Pense, Saskatchewan is a quiet town with a population of just over 500 that celebrated its 100th year as a Village in 2004. Centrally located in the Regina-Moose Jaw Corridor, it is an ideal location for new business and commuters as it provides a secure, lower cost alternative to the nearby cities. Services include a volunteer fire department and an emergency response team. Water in Pense comes from the City of Regina's main line and a new 100,000 gallon reservoir was built in 2006. The streets are well maintained throughout the seasons with grading, gravelling, snow plowing and removal. Other amenities include a full service Post Office, the Town Hall, which can be rented for social functions, the Memorial Rink, the Lions Splash Park and recreation area and ball diamond. The community of Pense defies the common misconception that there is nothing to do in a small town. The Recreation Board concerns itself with the physical fitness and wellness of the community. It offers various courses and programs throughout the year as well as lending financial support to many recreational organizations in Pense. The Pense Community Fitness Club has a gym with lots of modern equipment to help residents stay In Motion year round. In the winter, the Pense Memorial Rink is always busy with hockey, curling and figure skating. Always quick to welcome newcomers, the residents of Pense are an eclectic mix of farm families descending from the original settlers, senior citizens, young families and people who work in the cities or at the nearby communities. They are hard working and fun-loving people who readily extend a helping hand to neighbors and strangers alike.

Get ready to hunt for treasures, clear out your clutter, and enjoy a day of community fun — the Community Garage Sale returns on Saturday, June 6!

This year, we’re adding something new: Indoor Market Space at the Town Hall.

If you don’t want to host from home, live on a farm or acreage, are coming from a nearby community, or simply prefer an indoor setup, you can reserve a table inside the hall for just a $5 commitment fee. All proceeds go toward supporting the Rec Board.

Want your sale included on the community map or interested in reserving a table?
Email [email protected] to sign up.

Whether you’re selling from your driveway or joining us inside the hall, this year’s garage sale is shaping up to be our biggest one yet.

Did you know that something as simple as completing your Census Questionnaire can directly impact future funding for our community?

Population numbers play a major role in determining how much provincial and federal funding municipalities receive for things like infrastructure, recreational spaces, programs, and community services.

The 2026 Census is now underway, and every completed questionnaire helps paint a more accurate picture of our growing community. If you receive a Census Questionnaire, please take a few minutes to complete and return it.

The has begun! Look for your census letter in the mail. Census data paint a portrait of Canadians and their stories – from small communities to entire provinces and territories.

Complete your census today: https://www.census.gc.ca/en/index?utm_source=fb&utm_medium=smo&utm_campaign=statcan-statcan-cpop2026-coll.
