Update from BC Wildfire:

We are currently assisting the Peachland Fire and Rescue Services in the response to this incident. The fire is currently burning Rank 1 with pockets of Rank 2, meaning a smouldering ground fire with pockets of open flame and a slow rate of spread. BCWS personnel and fire department resources are onsite and working along the flanks of the fire to decrease fire behaviour and extinguish the fires edge.

Aerial resources were assisting but have been grounded due to a drone operating in the area. When you fly a drone or UAV near or over a wildfire, you're breaking the law and endangering firefighting personnel. Transport Canada and the BC Wildfire Service explicitly prohibit the use of drones or UAVs of any size near a wildfire.
