🗳️ Who can vote in Perth’s municipal election?

If you are 18 or older and a Canadian citizen, you may qualify to vote in Perth if you:

🏡 Live in the Town of Perth

OR

🏠 Own or rent property in the Town of Perth — even if your primary residence is somewhere else.

And that can include commercial property or commercial space that you own or rent in Perth.

So, for example, if you live outside of Perth but own a business property or rent commercial space here, you may qualify as a non-resident elector in the Town of Perth.

You may also qualify if you are the spouse of someone who owns or rents property in Perth.

There are specific rules around voting in more than one municipality, so if you’re unsure whether you qualify, it’s worth checking with the Town and making sure you’re on the Voters’ List.

📅 Perth’s 2026 voting period is October 19–26.

Know someone who lives outside Perth but owns or rents property here? This might be something they want to know! 🗳️

For the official rules and voter information, visit the Town of Perth’s election page.
