A little planning goes a long way, so check out the OP Blog for more information about our most common biting insects and how you can prepare including:

🦟 Wear insect repellent.
👖 Wear a bug net or clothing with lots of coverage.
🕯️ Try citronella candles.
🏕️ Invest in a bug tent or screen shelter.

Here are some easy ways you can help:
🌼 Plant a native pollinator garden.
🍃 Plant hedgerows.
🌱 Leave nesting sites for ground-nesting bees.

Murphys Point is open for camping and day use May 8 - Oct 13, 2026

Reservations for camping can be made by calling toll-free 1-888-668-7275 or online at https://reservations.ontarioparks.com/
✔️ Murphys Point is fully-reservable and we would recommend reserving in advance to avoid disappointment.
✔️ Book your Daily Vehicle Pass in advance online or though the toll-free number
Learn more about advance DVP booking here:

To make check-in as smooth as possible:
🔹 the booking holder must check in first - before any additional vehicles.
🔹 have your reservation email handy or know your booking details.
🔹 have your proof for any discounted camping rate.
🔹 don't forget your license plate number.

Alternatively you can check-in online using self check-in and skip the gatehouse.

To complete registration online: log into your Ontario Parks account and click the “My Reservations” button, click the “view registration details” button, and then click the “Preregister” button. You can also call the reservation call centre at 1-888-668-7275.

Roofed accommodations will continue to need to register with the gatehouse.
