Congratulations to all the 2026 Starter Company Plus grant recipients!

Enterprise Renfrew County 2026 Starter Company Plus program has wrapped up, with 16 standout businesses receiving a total of $80,000 in grants. It's exciting to see two Petawawa entrepreneurs recognized through the program. Congratulations to Jolene Kellsey of In Fine Fettle and Valerie Proulx of The Blushing Reader.

Enterprise Renfrew County is pleased to announce Starter Company Plus training has now concluded for 2026. This transformative business development program sponsored by Renfrew County Community Futures Development Corporation , guides small business owners through creating a full business plan and two years of cash flow projections with opportunity to compete through a business pitch for grant awards. To complete this program takes dedication, motivation, and perseverance! These 16 stand-out businesses were awarded grant awards totaling $80,000 in 2026:

The team from Hustle & Heart 104.9 myFM is at grocery stores in Petawawa and Pembroke today as part of the All Hands on Deck Food Drive! Stop by one of the locations and make a donation to the local food bank. Proceeds raised in Petawawa go towards the Petawawa Pantry - Food Bank.

The Rural Ontario Development Program is accepting applications. Small brick and mortar businesses in rural Ontario with 1 to 20 employees can apply through the Business Development Stream. This stream offers up to 35% cost-share, to a maximum of $10,000.

Applications for the Rural Ontario Development (ROD) Program are open August 17–October 1, 2026.
