Collect your leaves, plants, brush and tree clippings
🍁Place in paper bags or reusable containers only, no plastic bags
🍁Bundle branches no larger than 1m x 30cm (3' x 1') – no whole trees please
🍁Place at roadside before 7am on the Monday of your collection week
🍁Collection weeks are split into the following two groups. ⁠

🚜🌽 Share the Road 🌽🚜

One lane isn't always enough.

Farm equipment is often much wider than a standard vehicle and may occupy more than one travel lane. Equipment can also extend onto the shoulder and move fully into the roadway without warning.

⚠️ Slow down, stay alert, and be prepared to stop. Never assume there is enough room to safely pass or squeeze by.

🚨 Impatient driving can have serious consequences. A Careless Driving conviction carries a $490 fine and 6 demerit points.

This harvest season, remember to with farmers and other slow-moving vehicles. Everyone deserves to get home safely at the end of the day.

Peterborough County and Drohobych Urban Hromada, Ukraine, have officially signed a twinning agreement, establishing a partnership built on friendship, collaboration and shared learning.

The agreement formalizes a shared commitment to strengthen ties and foster lasting relationships through collaboration in economic development, agrifood, tourism, manufacturing, education, healthcare, sports, culture, and youth engagement. The partnership also creates opportunities to exchange municipal expertise and best practices while encouraging meaningful connections between residents and organizations in both communities.

To mark the occasion, a white birch tree, native to both Canada and Ukraine, was planted as a symbol of renewal, resilience and lasting friendship.
