You’re not seeing double, your generosity can go twice as far!

For 85 years, neighbours have been coming together to build a stronger, more caring Peterborough community. This year, there’s an extra reason to celebrate: eligible donations will be matched dollar for dollar!

Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, new donations of $85 or more, as well as any increase to an existing gift, will be matched 100% through our 2026 Community Campaign.

This is the third and final year of this incredible matching gift, making it a special opportunity to double your impact and help support the network of 20 local agencies working to strengthen our community.

Whether you’re making your first gift or increasing your support, your generosity makes a difference.

85 years united. Double the impact. Stronger together.

A little extra reason to be thankful this long weekend! ❤️

A big thank you to City of Peterborough for organizing a Thanksgiving food drive as part of their United Way workplace campaign! These generous donations will support two of our community partners, YES Shelter for Youth and Families and YWCA Peterborough Haliburton

It’s a great reminder that workplace campaigns are about so much more than fundraising. They’re about finding meaningful ways to show up for our community and make a difference together.

Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and restful Thanksgiving long weekend!

Today, we pause.

On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never came home, and stand with Indigenous peoples, families, and communities across Canada.

As a national charity rooted in local communities, United Way Centraide knows that reconciliation isn’t a single gesture; it’s an ongoing commitment to listening, unlearning, and taking action.

We at United Way Peterborough & District are committed to strengthening our relationships with Indigenous communities and doing the work that real reconciliation requires.

Today, we remember. We act.

Federal public servants do extraordinary work serving Canadians every day.

This September, through the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC), there’s an opportunity to extend that impact even further.

United Way Centraide is proud to be a GCWCC partner. Donations go directly to programs in your community, helping people access mental health supports, food banks, newcomer settlement services, financial counselling, and more.

Every dollar stays close to home. Every dollar makes a difference.
