On this Thank You Thursday we are sending a huge thanks to Algonquin Catering Inc.

Following the closing of their camp for the season, the team donated a huge amount of food to help supplement our shelter meal budget. Valued at over $550, the donation included many delicious items — frozen meatballs, buns, garlic toast, french fries, Parmesan cheese and so much more! Thank you for helping to provide many nutritious meals for our shelter clients!

A safe place to stay is only the beginning. Real change happens when a young person is given the tools to build a future.

That's the goal of our RISE Transitional Housing Program. Through individualized case planning, life skills development, housing stabilization, and community connections, our dedicated housing team provided more than 5,850 hours of support in 2025, helping youth move toward independence with confidence.

The results speak to the power of this investment:

- 17 youth pursued secondary or post-secondary education
- 14 secured employment or participated in job training
- 17 moved into permanent or independent housing

Every number is a young person stepping into a future they get to build for themselves. To read our full report, visit our website: https://yesshelter.ca/about-us/reports/
