🥍What a Night for the !🥍

Big W for the Lakers against the Brampton Excelsiors last night—the team brought the heat and the fans matched it! 🔥

Our incredible community and lakers fans came together and donated over 600 lbs of food to support KFS at the food drive last night 💙 Additionally, the organization generously donated $1,000 towards food purchasing!

This is what the Lakers Nation is all about, showing up for each other on and off the floor.

The take on the Brampton Excelsiors tonight, 8pm at the and we will be collecting food donations for KFS before the game!

We will have our donation bins set up inside all of the PMC entrances. We are so grateful for all donations from our incredibly generous community! We would especially appreciate:

-tuna 🐟
-children’s school snack items 🧃
-fruit cups 🍊
-peanut butter 🥜
-cereal 🥣
-pasta and pasta sauce 🍝

Our friends at STC Bus Lines will be hosting a Burst the Bus Food Drive in support of Kawartha Food Share this Saturday May 9th!
The food drive will take place at Greg’s No Frills, Metro, FreshCo on Lansdowne, Norwood Foodland, and Omeemee Foodland from 11am-2pm. Any and all donations of non-perishable food would be greatly appreciated. Let's see how full we can get these buses! Thank you STC for your continued support! 😄🚌

We loved having our MP Emma Harrison visit our warehouse last week to learn more about KFS and our work to end food insecurity in Peterborough and county.

We also were able to discuss details regarding the new government Food Security Fund, Local Food Infrastructure Fund well as the National School Food Program.

Thank you so much to all of our generous community members who donated to the December parking metre campaign in support of KFS!! Together you raised $16,627.85!!!

Also a big thank you to our friends from Wolfe Lawyers who once again sponsored this great initiative. 🎉

This donation will allow us to purchase over $40,000 worth of much needed food items for our member agencies!!

We are thrilled to know that so many of you parked, shopped, ate and enjoyed our amazing downtown this holiday season, not only supporting KFS but also all of the wonderful local businesses!
