We’ve been getting lots of messages asking where to find us, so here’s the official announcement 🎉

Honestly, we were waiting for all the painting to be finished before we officially made the announcement!

Our new office is at 203 Park St. N. Just look for our purple door 💜

We know our old address is still showing up in places across the internet, and as a non-profit, updating every website, directory, listing, and platform takes a little time.
We’re getting everything updated as quickly as we can, so please bear with us if you spot our old address somewhere online.

We’re excited to welcome you into our new home and can’t wait for you to see it!

Prisoners' Justice Day is a day of remembrance for people who have died in custody, a day of solidarity with those who are currently incarcerated, and an opportunity to reflect on how we respond to harm in our communities.

On August 10, we welcomed community partners to our office for a Prisoners’ Justice Day Community Reception where we created a space for people to connect, reflect, and learn together.

As part of the afternoon, we invited our community partners to explore two questions:

💭 What can we do to build safer, more connected communities?
💭 What does community care look like to you?

The conversations and ideas that came forward reminded us that community safety is something we build together.

It can look like connection.
It can look like listening.
It can look like housing, support, advocacy, and belonging.
It can look like organizations working together and making sure people don't have to navigate challenges alone.

We are grateful to the community partners and staff who joined us, shared their perspectives, and continue to contribute to a stronger, more connected community.

While Prisoners’ Justice Day is a day to remember and reflect, it is also an opportunity to think about what we can build together.

No single service, program, or organization creates safety on its own.

What we see instead is a network. People and organizations showing up in different ways, trying to support stability, healing, and connection.

That includes frontline staff, peers with lived experience, families, advocates, and community partners working across different spaces.

Prisoners’ Justice Day is also a reminder that this work is shared, and ongoing.

We also see what helps.

We see people stabilize when they have housing.

We see change happen through consistent relationships.

We see safety grow when harm reduction, mental health support, and peer connection are present.

Community care doesn’t always look dramatic. Most of the time, it looks like small, steady support that helps someone stay connected and keep going.

Those things matter more than we often recognize.

In our work, we see that people rarely arrive in the justice system because of one single moment.

More often, it’s layers of unmet needs. Housing that isn’t stable, trauma that hasn’t been supported, mental health challenges without care, or substance use without safety.

When those supports are missing, systems of punishment often become the default response.

Prisoners’ Justice Day asks us to notice those patterns and to think about how things could be different.
